Administrative Assistant 

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to be our "Director of First Impressions!" Applicant must enjoy greeting customers, finalizing contracts and letters, filing, answering the telephone, and simply being the all-around admin. Applicant must have at least three (3) years of recent administrative assistant experience including intermediate to advanced skills using MS Office products (experience with CCH products a plus). Pleasant reception skills are a must and experience working in a CPA or Financial Planning firm is desirable but not required. $2,700.00 to $3,500.00 per month salary depending on qualifications. Must be dependable; have demonstrable office task skills, radiate a professional presence and possess excellent communications skills!

Staff Accountant

We are searching for a staff accountant who has a degree in accounting and possesses certification as a CPA or is expected to pass the exam within one year after being hired.  Must have 1-2 years of public or private accounting experience. Good communication skills is a must-both oral and written. Computer proficiency is required.

A Staff accountant knows the basic accounting concepts and will quickly learn exact procedures for specific engagements under proper supervision.  Tasks typically assigned range from summarizing books of original entry though drafting financial statements and/or tax returns to include gathering and preparing appropriate schedules.  They must be able to perform tasks with proficiency and accuracy, meeting defined performance standards.

With experience and training, the staff accountant works resourcefully and resolves problems with little supervision and achieves timely completion of projects.  The staff accountant ordinarily does not deal directly with client personnel without guidance and supervision.

Although considerable on-the-job training is provided, additional professional training and course work is provided as deemed necessary.  The staff accountant is expected to take an active role in his/her professional self-improvement.  The firm encourages and supports involvement in organizations that contribute to the well being of the community, as well as the firm.  As a team member, the staff accountant exhibits professional conduct and offers suggestions for a productive, pleasant work environment.

The work of staff accountants is the foundation on which the work of others is based.  Accuracy, dependability, ability to follow instructions, and timeliness are important qualities this person must obtain.  As the staff accountant gains experience and proficiency, they may be given more difficult assignments and greater responsibility, including some duties of the in-charge accountant.  Satisfactory completion of such assignments indicates the staff accountant’s readiness for promotion to a higher (in charge) accountant position.

Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Senior Staff Accountant. Public accounting experience is a must in dealing with the technical needs of our diverse clientele. Experience with preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns (individual, business, fiduciary, estate, pension/profit sharing and nonprofit). Experience supervising\conducting audits, and preparing financial statements (audit, review and compilation). Software knowledge of CCH Tax and Engagement a plus!
